There are two news rules ( bad news ) on youtube in 2018:

you need to get 1000 subscribers in one year

you need to have watch time of 4000 hours on your channel in one year

firstly we will will talk about why youtube has done this:

youtube change the rules to monetize your channel so that youtubers who are not taking it seriously and are just here to get the fake views need to be thrown out from youtube.one more reason is that youtube don't have the sufficient employee and the new channel are giving the approval for monetization.

How to get the watch time and more subscribers:

so for getting more watchtime and subscribers your content should be googd and the quality of your video should be good. the most important thing is that your video should be in simple language.
